Yangju City to Begin Applications for Second Round of Consumer Recovery Coupons on September 22

Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will begin accepting applications for the second round of Consumer Recovery Coupons for 2025 on September 22, aiming to revitalize the local economy and stabilize the lives of its citizens.

In this second round, each eligible individual will receive a coupon worth 100,000 won. The recipients are households that fall within the bottom 90% income bracket. Eligibility is determined based on the total amount of health insurance premiums assessed per household in June 2025.

However, households will be excluded if their combined standard property tax base for 2024 exceeds 1.2 billion won, or if their total financial income for 2024 exceeds 20 million won.

Applications can be submitted both online and offline. Online applications are available through credit card company websites or apps, as well as the Local Love Gift Certificate (Gyeonggi Local Currency) app. Offline applications can be made by visiting an administrative welfare center or a bank branch. For offline applications, the coupon will be provided as a prepaid card.

During the first week, from September 22 to 26, applications will be accepted according to a five-day rotation system based on the last digit of the applicant's birth year. After that, from September 28 to October 31, anyone can apply regardless of birth year. However, from October 3 to 9, which includes National Foundation Day and the Chuseok holiday period, only online applications will be accepted.

The coupon must be used by November 30, 2025; any unused amount will be automatically forfeited after the deadline.
