"Continued Investment in Nurturing Talent for the Agri-Bio Industry"
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 22nd that students from specialized agricultural high schools in the province won a total of 32 medals, including three Minister of Education Awards, at the 54th National Young Farmers Festival (2025 FFK Chungbuk Competition) recently held in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.
This event was co-hosted by the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Office of Education, the Korea Agricultural Education Association, and the National FFK Federation, with Cheongju Agricultural High School serving as the organizer. A total of 936 students from 14 provincial and metropolitan offices of education across the country competed in 20 categories.

From Jeonnam, 71 students from nine agricultural high schools participated, winning a total of 32 medals: three Minister of Education Awards (Gold, 1st place), six gold medals, ten silver medals, and thirteen bronze medals.
This is an increase compared to last year’s competition, where Jeonnam students won a total of 25 awards, including one Minister of Education Award. In detail, students achieved balanced results across various major competition fields, including Plant Resources (two gold medals), Animal Resources (one gold medal), Food Processing (one gold medal), Agricultural Machinery (one Minister of Education Award), Agricultural Product Distribution (one Minister of Education Award), and Landscaping & Forest Resources (one gold medal).
Additionally, medals were earned in other areas such as Practical Skills (Agri-food Cooking), Project Completion Presentation (Agri-bio Startup Items, Research Projects), and the FFK Festival (FK Golden Bell). In the FK Golden Bell event, students from Jeonnam received one Minister of Education Award as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Hwang Sunghwan, Deputy Superintendent, stated, "The agri-bio industry is developing as a future-oriented new industry," and added, "We will actively support Jeonnam students so that they can grow into talents who create new value in agriculture."
