'Strengthening Partner Competitiveness': Hyundai Mobis Launches SW Developer Training Program

Inauguration Ceremony Held for the First Mobius Bootcamp Class

Hyundai Mobis has introduced an educational program designed to intensively nurture practical talent in the mobility software (SW) sector and connect them to employment opportunities with partner companies.

On September 23, Hyundai Mobis announced that it held the inauguration ceremony for the first class of the 'Mobius Bootcamp,' a program aimed at fostering mobility SW talent and supporting their employment with partner companies.

The ceremony was attended by more than 250 people, including university graduates seeking jobs who were selected through an open recruitment process in July, as well as representatives from partner companies. The program name 'Mobius' is inspired by the 'Mobius strip,' which has no boundaries, symbolizing the company's commitment to leading a virtuous cycle in the mobility ecosystem together with its partners.

President Lee Gyuseok of Hyundai Mobis also attended the event, emphasizing the importance of nurturing talent in the mobility SW field and encouraging the participants. He stated, "I hope that the practical talent produced through this program will be able to demonstrate their capabilities immediately upon joining our partner companies, thereby further strengthening the competitiveness of Korea's mobility industry."

The first class of the Mobius Bootcamp consists of 300 participants. A total of 200 job seekers, including university students, and 100 employees from partner companies were ultimately selected. It is reported that more than 3,000 applicants competed for the 200 job seeker positions through the open recruitment process.

Notably, since this program is directly linked to employment with partner companies, the selection process for job seekers focused on identifying the specific needs of partner companies in advance to secure tailored talent. A total of 40 partner companies are participating in this Mobius Bootcamp.

These trainees will receive specialized SW education in the mobility field over the next six months. Hyundai Mobis has organized a practical curriculum and hands-on project-based training, leveraging its accumulated SW expertise across various mobility business areas. The goal is to cultivate job-ready talent who can be immediately deployed in the field.

Hyundai Mobis has actively carried out various SW talent development programs, such as SW algorithm competitions and SW hackathons. Building on these efforts, the company aims to secure leading technological competitiveness in the mobility sector, including next-generation automotive semiconductors and software-defined vehicle (SDV) solutions.
