Until October 4... Up to 30,000 Won Limit
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a cashback event for users of the local currency, "Hope Hwaseong Local Currency," returning 10% of the payment amount until October 4, ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The cashback applies when users spend at least 30,000 won using the local currency during the event period, with a maximum limit of 30,000 won (based on a total payment of 300,000 won).
Separately, the city is also providing a 10% incentive on the amount recharged to the local currency, and for the months of September and October, the incentive payment cap has been raised to 1 million won. As a result, including the cashback event, users can enjoy up to a 20% discount on payments up to 300,000 won.
The cashback applies only to the portion paid with the user's own recharge, excluding incentives provided during the recharge. The event may end early if the allocated budget is exhausted. The cashback provided can only be used at affiliated stores with annual sales of 1.2 billion won or less, and must be used by December 31.
Jung Myunggeun, Mayor of Hwaseong, stated, "This event will serve as a solid catalyst to revive sluggish consumer sentiment and boost sales for small business owners. We will continue to actively pursue policies that reduce household burdens and revitalize the local economy by increasing sales for local small businesses."
