First Prize of 15 Million Won Awarded
September 26 at Kolon Outdoor Music Hall
Daegu City will host the "2025 Powerful Daegu Song Festival," a music competition festival that provides talented musicians from across the country with the opportunity to perform on stage and brings citizens together, at the Kolon Outdoor Music Hall in downtown Daegu on September 26 at 6:30 p.m.
Now in its fourth year, this song festival serves as the opening event for the "Fantasia Daegu Festa Autumn Festival." It is designed so that citizens can fully enjoy the atmosphere of autumn through enthusiastic competition performances and special stages by invited artists.
For this year's festival, 12 teams selected from 428 teams nationwide-after two intense rounds of preliminaries-will compete in the finals. A total of 30 million won in prize money will be awarded, including 15 million won for first place, 5 million won for second place, and 3 million won for third place.
In particular, the excitement of the event will be heightened by performances from top Korean artists such as KCM, Lyn, Ahn Sunghoon, and Choi Sooho, who are expected to captivate the audience both visually and musically.
The event is free to attend, and visitors can freely enjoy the performances on the lawn plaza of the Kolon Outdoor Music Hall.
Daegu City plans to work closely with relevant agencies to ensure the comfort and safety of citizens so that everyone can enjoy the performances without inconvenience.
To facilitate smooth traffic flow around the venue, the city will strengthen crackdowns on illegal parking and actively encourage the use of public transportation. Additionally, safety personnel will be deployed in and around the venue, especially in areas vulnerable to accidents, to prevent safety incidents.
Furthermore, an ambulance will be stationed at the venue to ensure a swift response in the event of a medical emergency, prioritizing the safety of citizens above all else.
Kim Jeonggi, Acting Mayor of Daegu, stated, "We support the dreams of all participants who take the stage, and we hope that the Powerful Daegu Song Festival will firmly establish itself as a gateway for aspiring singers who love music." He added, "As this festival is held ahead of the Chuseok holiday, we hope it will be a time for citizens to experience the inspiration and comfort that songs can bring while enjoying refreshing outdoor performances."
