Gyeonggi Province recently produced and distributed 108,000 copies of informational materials outlining action guidelines to help campground visitors evacuate quickly in emergencies.
The newly created materials focus on "preparation" and "pre-evacuation" to encourage active participation from campground visitors in order to prevent casualties during disasters caused by abnormal weather conditions.
The main content covers ▲how to check weather information and locate evacuation shelters ▲how to set up disaster alert messages ▲action guidelines in the event of river flooding or landslides ▲and measures to prevent fire and suffocation accidents.

In addition, Gyeonggi Province has established and distributed response guidelines that provide detailed instructions for campground managers on what actions to take during weather advisories.
Although the Tourism Promotion Act previously mandated the establishment of evacuation plans, there were cases where the lack of detailed, immediately applicable standards at the site led to delays in effective response.
Gyeonggi Province hopes that these action guidelines and response instructions will serve as the standard manual for campground safety management. In particular, the province believes that during periods of frequent abnormal weather events such as typhoons, heavy rain, and strong winds, safety levels at campgrounds can be significantly improved when local governments, managers, and visitors each fulfill their respective roles.
Jang Hyangjeong, Director of the Tourism Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "It is now necessary to have action standards tailored to weather advisories at campgrounds," adding, "We will continue to implement various safety policies so that both managers and visitors can be well-prepared for camping."
