"Eradicating the Reactionary Legacy of Insurrection Remnants Together with the People"
Jung Chungrae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized the People Power Party's outdoor protest, calling it an "outdoor tantrum."
On September 21, through his personal social networking service (SNS), Jung stated, "The National Assembly is the place for the opposition, and the parliamentary audit is the time for the opposition," adding, "The People Power Party's outdoor protest is an outdoor tantrum by forces that support insurrection and refuse to accept the presidential election results."
He went on to say, "Who would like a runaway delinquent?" and added, "Together with the people, we will put an end to the historical reactionary acts of the remnants of the 'Yoon Again' insurrection."
On the afternoon of the same day, the People Power Party held a rally at Dongdaegu Station Plaza, condemning the government and the ruling party. The party claimed to raise awareness about the unreasonableness of the Democratic Party's push to establish a dedicated insurrection tribunal, as well as its media and judicial reforms and the special prosecutor's investigation.
