LSEG Launches Data Products Powered by Exaone-BI
LG AI Research Institute has unveiled a "financial AI agent" that autonomously performs the entire process from data analysis and future forecasting to report generation without human intervention, marking the institute's full-scale entry into revenue generation.
LG AI Research Institute announced on September 21 that it held a commercialization event for "Exaone Business Intelligence (Exaone-BI)" on the 19th (local time) at the London Stock Exchange in collaboration with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). LSEG will introduce Exaone-BI into its business, which provides vast amounts of financial market data and analytical materials to investors worldwide.
LG AI Research Institute designed Exaone-BI with a structure in which four AI agents, each acting as an expert, collaborate. The "AI Journalist" collects massive external data, including news, corporate disclosures, and macroeconomic indicators, and generates data. The "AI Economist" uses the data generated by the AI Journalist to predict future market trends and outlooks.
The "AI Analyst" synthesizes the forecast results and internal indicator analysis to identify key factors and abnormal signals that could affect individual stocks and generates easy-to-understand reports. Finally, the "AI Decision Maker" assists investors' decision-making by comparing and evaluating the reports and various scenarios generated by the AI Analyst, producing a score.
LSEG will sell "AEFS," a data product created from Exaone-BI reports, to investors around the world.

This service marks the first case of AI cooperation in the financial sector between Korea and the United Kingdom. LG AI Research Institute expects this to serve as a catalyst for Korean AI technology to gain recognition and spread in the global market.
Woo Hyung Lim, Co-Research Director at LG AI Research Institute, stated, "Exaone-BI will evolve into an advanced AI expert service in which each specialist agent collaborates to demonstrate collective intelligence," adding, "Our collaboration with LSEG proves the value and competitiveness of LG's vertical AI technology in the global market and marks the official starting point for revenue generation using AI."
Todd Hartman, Head of Data and Feed Group at LSEG, emphasized, "With the introduction of this service, it is now possible to conduct broad-ranging analysis and forecasting across the capital markets. A key differentiator is that the entire process-analysis, forecasting, and generation-is carried out solely by AI without human intervention, addressing the black box issue of existing financial AI services."
