Kim Dongyeon: "I Hope Gyeonggi Youth Make Full Use of Policies to Find Their Dreams"

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dongyeon announced that he would actively support and encourage young people in Gyeonggi so that they can pursue their dreams without fearing failure.

In his greeting at the '2025 Gyeonggi Province Youth Day Commemoration Event' on the 20th, Governor Kim stated, "Gyeonggi Province is making great efforts to provide countless opportunities to many young people. Along the way, you may experience trial and error, face failures, and feel frustration, but Gyeonggi Province will help you get back up, offer a second path, and rescue you if you fall, supporting your attempts and challenges to find your dreams."

He added, "I do not want young people in Gyeonggi Province to become like products that ride on a conveyor belt and are simply packaged and dropped off at the end. Instead, I hope you become young people who seek your own answers, not just those who meet the expectations of parents, teachers, or society."

He also urged, "Make full use of Gyeonggi Province's youth policies, and above all, I hope you will continuously attempt and challenge yourselves to discover what dreams you truly want to pursue."

Previously, the government designated the third Saturday of September every year as 'Youth Day' and operates that week as 'Youth Week' in accordance with the Framework Act on Youth.

Accordingly, Gyeonggi Province holds an annual Youth Day commemoration event, promoting youth policies, listening to young people's opinions, and providing a variety of youth-centered programs that offer practical support in areas such as career development, welfare, and finance.

This year, under the theme 'Gyeonggi Youth gonna be, Golden (You will shine in the future),' the event delivered messages of hope and encouragement for the future of young people.

Meanwhile, the event also included the appointment ceremony for the 5th Gyeonggi Province Participation Organization, a performance-sharing session for the Gyeonggi Youth Ladder Program, and an interim sharing meeting for the Gyeonggi Youth Research Lab-Up.
