This event will feature a variety of exhibitions and hands-on activities centered around endangered wildlife. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe living endangered species such as the gold-spotted pond frog, diving beetle, and Neofinetia falcata, as well as specimen displays. Attendees will be able to directly observe and experience rare animals and plants that are not easily encountered in everyday life.
In addition, the festival will include exhibitions such as detailed illustrations of rare plants of the Korean Peninsula, an Art-SEM exhibit of seeds from native Baekdudaegan plants, and a photo exhibition of forest plants vulnerable to climate change. Hands-on programs will also be available, including making handkerchief rubbings with plants, creating upcycled wildflower pots, and experiencing horseback riding through VR. Special performances, such as magic shows and bubble shows, will also be offered free of charge for children and families to enjoy together.
Ahn Sudong, Director of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Natural Environment Research Park, stated, "I hope this festival will serve as a unique experience for families to create joyful memories together and as a valuable opportunity to reflect on the importance of environmental protection."
