2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation: Clinic Results Announced for Gwangju, Daejeon, and Incheon Regions

KCIA Korea Consumer Evaluation has announced the results of the 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation for clinics and hospitals in the Gwangju, Daejeon, and Incheon regions. This evaluation is hosted by the Korea Consumer Council and organized by Korea Consumer Evaluation.

The purpose of this evaluation is to realize the eight fundamental rights of consumers-such as the right to have their opinions reflected, the right to receive information, and the right to choose, as guaranteed by Article 4 of the Framework Act on Consumers-by announcing consumer evaluation results for each industry according to the standard industrial classification. It also aims to provide consumers with objective and useful information to improve the quality of their consumption life.

The 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation for clinics and hospitals is conducted annually to select and introduce outstanding clinics and hospitals in each region that have received high ratings from consumers who have actually visited these facilities, based on their clean facilities, high convenience, and friendly service.

From June to July of this year, a preliminary survey was conducted on clinics and hospitals nationwide, based on factors such as the number of reviews on portal sites. Candidates who ranked within the top 31.60% were notified, and ultimately, outstanding clinics and hospitals within the top 0.39% were selected according to the evaluation criteria below.

Korea Consumer Evaluation selected outstanding clinics and hospitals in each region through a final assessment based on the actual experiences of consumers who used these facilities, using four final evaluation criteria: cleanliness, convenience, kindness, and overall evaluation. The list of outstanding clinics and hospitals in the clinic category is as follows.

A representative from Korea Consumer Evaluation stated, "According to a recent survey by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, domestic medical services are recognized for their expertise by medical professionals, to the extent that Korea has established itself as a leading country in the biohealth industry and as a global brand among overseas consumers. Consumers who use domestic clinics and hospitals consider not only the level of treatment but also comprehensive information such as cleanliness, convenience, and kindness when visiting." The representative added, "We hope that by analyzing and announcing high-quality evaluation information from existing consumers, this evaluation will provide practical help to consumers."

The representative also said, "In line with the purpose and significance of the Korea Consumer Industry Evaluation, we plan to support the revitalization of household consumption for low-income families through the Community Chest of Korea. In particular, through the 'Child Sponsorship Program,' we provide regular support for living expenses, educational expenses, and medical expenses to children and adolescents from low-income and vulnerable groups, and we hope to contribute, even in a small way, to helping them enjoy a healthy childhood and adolescence. We will continue to pay attention and move forward together in the future."
