Jeonju University Department of Social Welfare Donates Proceeds to Save the Children

All Proceeds from "Social Welfare Day" Donated

The Department of Social Welfare at Jeonju University announced on September 19 that it had donated the proceeds to the Saeum Center of the Save the Children Western Regional Headquarters (hereafter referred to as Save the Children).

The donation ceremony, held the previous day at Save the Children, was attended by officials from Save the Children and students from the Department of Social Welfare at Jeonju University. The entire proceeds from the Social Welfare Day event, totaling 200,000 won, were donated.

The Social Welfare Day event, which raised these proceeds, was organized by the Department of Social Welfare at Jeonju University to promote the value of social welfare, foster unity among its members, and provide students with an opportunity to practice sharing firsthand. The significance of the event was further enhanced by the fact that all proceeds from the sales booths operated by students were donated to Save the Children.

A representative from the Department of Social Welfare stated, "It is very meaningful that the event prepared by our students directly led to sharing within the local community," adding, "We will continue to spread the value of social welfare and grow as a department that maintains consistent communication with the local community."

Meanwhile, Social Welfare Day, organized by the Department of Social Welfare at Jeonju University, features various programs such as social welfare awareness booths, experience booths, and game booths. By having students directly plan and operate these programs, the event offers participants an opportunity to become more familiar with social welfare.
