Lee has always performed well at Bears Best Cheongna. She won the Korea Women's Open held at this course in 2019, and at the 2023 Hana Financial Group Championship at the same venue, she defeated then-world No. 7 Minjee Lee of Australia in a playoff to claim the title. Last year, she also finished tied for seventh at the Hana Financial Group Championship held here.
Lee said, "It's true that I have confidence that I can do well at Bears Best," adding, "My fade swing matches well with the grass here." She continued, "The fairways and greens were wet, and the wind was blowing, so it was a tough round because I couldn't get much distance." Lee explained, "I held back on aggressive play and waited for my opportunities. Before the tournament, I promised myself not to be greedy and to stay relaxed, and I was able to keep that promise today."
