Adjustment of Game Intervals and Diverse VOD Offerings
Expansion of Sports Content Lineup
Tving announced on September 18 that it will exclusively broadcast all games of the "2025-2026 LG Electronics Pro Basketball" season, which kicks off on September 20.
The season will begin with the "Open Match Day" exhibition games, held from September 20 to 28. The regular league will start on October 3 and continue until April 8 of next year. Each team will play 54 games, for a total of 270 games, and the top six teams will compete for the championship in the playoffs and finals.
There have been some changes to game operations. On weekdays, there will be one game at 7 p.m., while on weekends, there will be two games at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. With fewer games, the intervals between matches for each team have increased, making it easier for players to manage their stamina. The interval between weekend games has also been extended by 30 minutes, reducing the inconvenience of overlapping matches.
Tving will not only provide live broadcasts but also offer a variety of content such as highlights immediately after games, player interviews, and short-form videos. Fans will be able to enjoy these on various devices, including mobile, PC, and smart TVs, expanding their viewing experience.
A representative from Tving stated, "We will provide a differentiated viewing experience so that KBL fans can feel the excitement of the arena through OTT platforms."
