First in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Regions
"Dedicated to Improving Patients' Quality of Life"
Busan Himchan Hospital announced on September 18 that it has surpassed 3,800 cases of artificial joint surgeries performed using the Mako robotic surgical system.
The Mako robot offers the advantage of minimizing incision size and bleeding, which helps reduce postoperative pain and swelling while accelerating recovery.
This personalized surgical method combines the clinical judgment of skilled specialists with three-dimensional imaging technology, allowing for precise removal of damaged cartilage and insertion of artificial joints. It is particularly effective for patients suffering from severe pain or leg deformities due to degenerative arthritis.

Medical Director Moon Namhun stated, "This accomplishment is not just a number, but a testament to the dedication of our medical staff to improving the quality of life for each and every patient," adding, "We will continue to provide safe, patient-centered medical services."
A hospital representative emphasized, "Busan Himchan Hospital is the first in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions to achieve 3,800 cases of robotic artificial joint surgery. Based on our differentiated experience and expertise, we will continue to provide optimal treatment tailored to each patient's condition."
The hospital plans to further strengthen its research and clinical capabilities in the field of robotic artificial joint surgery, aiming to establish itself as a trusted medical institution in the areas of joint and spine care.
