On September 18, KB Insurance announced that it has completed the development of its "Automobile Accident Fault Ratio AI Agent" service, which utilizes generative artificial intelligence (AI), and has officially introduced it into its operations.
The Automobile Accident Fault Ratio AI Agent is a service in which AI independently analyzes the details of reported accidents and automatically calculates and provides the expected fault ratio to be applied to each incident.
Previously, employees had to manually search the Korea Insurance Development Institute’s standard guidelines for automobile fault ratios to determine the appropriate ratio. Now, with the Automobile Accident Fault Ratio AI Agent service, the AI recommends the fault ratio for each accident type based on the inputted accident information, enabling consistent fault ratio assessments.
With the introduction of this service, repetitive search work is reduced, accelerating the accident handling process and clarifying fault determinations. As a result, customers are expected to receive faster and more objective compensation services.
Meanwhile, KB Insurance has continuously identified projects to enhance employee productivity based on the "KB GenAI Portal," which was jointly established by KB Financial Group. Starting with the Automobile Accident Fault Ratio AI Agent, the company plans to introduce additional AI Agents by the end of the year for complaint management, call center support, policy underwriting, and advertisement review.
A KB Insurance representative stated, "Work innovation through generative AI is not simply about improving work efficiency, but about increasing customer satisfaction by providing accurate and consistent services," adding, "KB Insurance will continue to pursue AI-based digital innovation across all areas of the insurance business."
