On September 16, at the Guam government building, Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho and Guam Governor Lou Leon Guerrero signed a business agreement to promote cooperation in agricultural food exports and exchanges. With this, Gumi City has officially begun expanding the overseas market entry of local agricultural food products.

The agreement, signed on September 16, aims to support the stable entry of Gumi City's integrated agricultural food brand "Gumi-Food" into the Guam market. The agreement includes optimizing logistics and supply chains for fresh agricultural products, mutual cooperation for sustainable export expansion, and strengthening cooperative relations between the two regions through cultural and tourism exchanges between public and private sector delegations.

On the same afternoon, at the PHR Group headquarters, G-Food Council member G-Food Fresh signed a tripartite export agreement with local distributor Furious Import and PHR Group. As a key partner in the business agreement, PHR Group operates six hotel resorts in Guam, including Tsubaki Tower, PIC, and Hilton, and is the largest food purchaser in the region, accounting for 40% of all accommodation facilities in Guam.

Through this agreement, G-Food Fresh plans to secure a stable supply chain for fresh local agricultural products by utilizing its logistics warehouse and pre-processing facilities established in Tamuning, Guam, and to enhance its market competitiveness by leveraging local distribution infrastructure.

G-Food-affiliated companies such as Tokkimil, Nangman Research Institute, and Gusu-han, who participated in the visit, have already been recognized for their excellent quality by exporting processed foods worth approximately 130,000 US dollars (180 million Korean won) to local hotels in Guam.

Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi, stated, "Through cooperation with the Guam government and strategic partnerships with local hotel groups, I hope that Gumi agricultural food 'G-Food' will establish itself stably in the Guam market and raise its recognition as a global brand. We will continue to provide administrative support so that local companies can remain competitive in overseas markets."
