A Picnic Festival for Youth and Citizens
Held at Dongtan Central Park
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 16 that it will host the "Refresh Playground" event at Dongtan Central Park on September 20 to celebrate Youth Day.
This event is being held to commemorate "Youth Day," a legal holiday designated as the third Saturday of September each year. It is designed to give young people a chance to step away from their daily routines, relax, enjoy themselves, and find the time and energy to reflect on their lives.
The event was planned and organized with direct participation from young people, based on feedback collected by the Hwaseong City Youth Policy Council. The program will kick off with a performance by "Bento," the band club from the Youth Support Center, followed by a variety of activities in which young people can actively participate and enjoy.
The commemorative ceremony will include an awards presentation for winners of the Youth Policy Idea Contest and commendations for contributors to the advancement of youth policies. Afterwards, there will be an MBTI personality type balance game and a cooperative recreation game called "SetSetSet," both designed for young people to enjoy together.
There will also be a youth market operated by the Youth Support Center, as well as promotional and experiential booths such as personal color analysis and ice cream making, run by the Youth Employment Support Center and local universities. In addition, Hwaseong City public relations ambassadors and Tokyo Olympic fencing gold medalists Kim Junho and Kim Minji will hold a fan signing event.
