The story of a young delivery driver who reportedly earns 12 million won per month through parcel deliveries has become a hot topic. Despite having a relatively short six-year career, he is earning twice as much as veteran drivers.

On September 5, KBS's "Good Morning Korea" featured the story of Jung Sangbin, a 26-year-old delivery driver. Working in the Incheon area, he shared that he delivers between 600 and 700 parcels a day, totaling more than 16,000 parcels per month on average.

Considering that most drivers deliver about 6,000 to 7,000 parcels a month, Jung handles more than twice the typical volume. Fellow delivery drivers commented, "He is definitely in the top 5%," and "You could call him top class."

The secret lies in his speed, which is more than double that of other drivers. Jung's technique involves placing parcels in front of each floor while riding the elevator up, then after reaching the top floor, he delivers to each unit as he works his way down. This method eliminates the need to hold the elevator on every floor, allowing for much faster deliveries.

His method of loading items onto the cart is also unique. He places parcels for lower floors at the bottom of the basket and arranges the shipping labels on top, reducing the time needed to find each item for delivery.

He also shared his strategy of planning his route in advance by checking the next destination ahead of time. Since each building contains both deliveries and returns, he organizes the parcels in his truck for easy access. In particular, he pays attention to the order of parcels from the moment they are loaded at the logistics center and sets his delivery route after checking the map in advance.

Jung said, "Regardless of weight or size, I receive 700 won per parcel. I earn between 10 million and 12 million won per month," adding, "I've saved about 300 million won so far. But I don't consider myself successful yet."
