U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S.-China trade negotiations held in Spain on September 14 and 15 (local time) "went very well."
On September 15, President Trump said via the social networking service Truth Social, "The major trade negotiations between the United States and China held in Europe went very well," adding, "A conclusion will be reached soon."
He also hinted at the Chinese video platform TikTok, saying, "We have reached an agreement regarding a 'certain' company that young people in our country have been very eager to save," and added, "They will be very pleased."
He continued, "I will have a conversation (call) with President Xi Jinping on Friday (the 19th)," and emphasized, "(U.S.-China) relations remain very strong."
