Seeking Ways to Improve the Educational Environment from the Citizens' Perspective
The Sejong City Office of Education (Acting Superintendent: Deputy Superintendent Chun Beomsan) held an appointment ceremony for the 7th term Integrity Citizen Auditors on September 15 and conducted a training session. Over the next two years, these auditors will actively participate in comprehensive school audits and other related activities.
The 7th term Integrity Citizen Auditors were selected through an open recruitment process and consist of a total of 25 external experts (including 8 reappointed members) with specialized knowledge or experience in fields such as educational administration, law, accounting, architecture, and sanitation.
An official from the Sejong City Office of Education explained, "This initiative was established to seek ways to improve the educational environment in Sejong from the perspective of citizens and to contribute to the development of future education in Sejong."
At the appointment ceremony, Chun Beomsan, Acting Superintendent of Sejong City Office of Education, presented letters of appointment to the 7th term Integrity Citizen Auditors and encouraged them to actively work towards strengthening fairness and transparency in schools. The subsequent training session focused on enhancing audit capabilities, covering topics such as understanding the Citizen Auditor system and audit techniques.
Chun Beomsan, Acting Superintendent, stated, "We will listen carefully to each suggestion made by the Integrity Citizen Auditors and work together with schools and relevant departments to find improvement measures. I expect that you will become partners in building a new, transparent future for education in Sejong."
