This report meeting was organized to review the priorities of investment projects and establish strategies to ensure the successful implementation of key policies, including the pledges of the 8th popularly elected administration. The city is focusing on promoting citizen-centered, practical projects that have a tangible impact on daily life, taking into account its fiscal conditions, and is working to strengthen execution by securing external funding sources.

Mayor Joo Kwangdeok, along with the deputy mayor, the head of the Planning and Coordination Office, and the heads of relevant departments, bureaus, divisions, and offices attended the meeting. They presented departmental business plans and discussed measures to address funding shortages. The main agenda included: projects scheduled for completion during the 8th term, key projects centered on pledges and current issues, projects linked to new government policy tasks, and new or expanded projects for 2026.

The city prioritized projects based on urgency and potential for results, while adjusting unnecessary expenditures and actively seeking to secure external funding such as national and provincial subsidies to minimize the city's financial burden. The focus was on enhancing fiscal efficiency and maximizing citizen benefits.

On the first day, the Planning and Coordination Office and the Environmental Bureau presented their reports. The Planning and Coordination Office reported on the expansion of community spaces directly related to citizens' daily lives, such as the construction of a complex community center and the operation of the Namyangju Policy Research Institute, as well as laying the foundation for future policy research.

The Environmental Bureau announced plans to expand key environmental infrastructure, including the Hydrogen City Development Project, private investment projects for resource recovery and recycling facilities, the creation of Maseok Neighborhood Park, and small river maintenance projects. These strategies focus on improving the quality of life for citizens by preparing for a population of one million, managing waste, utilizing hydrogen energy, and expanding water-friendly spaces.

Through this report meeting, the city plans to concretize the achievements of the 8th administration and identify and promote strategic projects to secure growth engines for the city. The goal is to solidify the foundation for future growth. In addition, items discussed at the meeting will be reflected in the 2026 budget planning and major work plans to enhance policy completeness and deliver tangible results that citizens can feel.

Mayor Joo Kwangdeok stated, "This report meeting is an opportunity to accelerate the progress of key projects such as pledges and current issues, and to proactively review next year's implementation plans to expand citizen benefits. We will actively pursue policies that can raise the happiness index of our citizens by making selective and focused decisions in consideration of our fiscal conditions."
