On September 15, Osan City held a ceremony to mark the opening of the intercity bus route number 8135 between Osan and Jamsil/Dong Seoul Terminal, attended by Mayor Lee Kwonjae, City Council Chairman Lee Sangbok, and officials from KD Transportation Group.

The bus will officially begin service with its first departure from Osan Station Transfer Center at 6:00 a.m. on September 16. The route departs from Osan Station Transfer Center and stops at Unam Jugong Complex 5, Osan City Hall (Unam Jugong Complex 4), Unam Jugong Complex 1 (Unam Middle School), in front of Smart City Center (Segyo District 1, Complex 19), and at the Education Support Office Intersection (Posco The Shop), before stopping at the Gachon University expressway stop on the Metropolitan Area First Ring Expressway. In Seoul, the bus will stop at Jangji Station Exit 2, Garak Market (Garak Market Station), Jamsil Station (Lotte World), and end at Dong Seoul Terminal.

This new route is a reorganization of the 8136 route, which previously ran from Songtan via Osan but was suspended due to COVID-19. The city expects this new direct route to improve accessibility to Seoul for residents who have struggled with a lack of direct connections.

Mayor Lee stated, "Expanding the bus infrastructure means more than just adding new routes for a self-sustaining connect city of 500,000 people. We will continue to implement transportation policies that bring meaningful changes to every citizen's commute and daily life."

Previously, under the 8th popularly elected administration, Osan City secured the 5104 route to Seoul Station and, in cooperation with Gyeonggi Province, resumed the 8848 airport limousine to Gimpo International Airport. In April last year, the city also launched and increased the number of buses on the 8301 and 8302 routes to Seongnam Pangyo and Yatap. Within this year, Osan plans to establish new intercity bus routes from Segyo District 2 to Jamsil/Dong Seoul Terminal and from Segyo District 2 to Pangyo/Yatap.

The city also plans to increase the number of buses on route 60, which runs from Segyo District 2 via Osandae Station and Dongtan Station, to a total of 10 buses making 60 trips per day by the end of the year.
