This meeting was the first official event between Goryeong County and Assemblyman Jung since his appointment as Secretary-General. Over 40 people attended, including Lee Cheolho, Chairman of the Goryeong County Council, county council members, and senior public officials.

During the meeting, the county shared 11 key projects and requested cooperation to secure national funding. These projects include the construction of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Industrial Safety Experience Education Center, establishment of the Goryeong World Heritage Exploration Hub Center, maintenance and restoration of Daegaya ancient capital relics, reconstruction of the Gwaneumsa temple monks’ quarters, improvement of natural disaster risk zones, installation of village sewage systems, development of unique Gyeongbuk-style accommodations, and the specialized regeneration of Yeonjo-ri in Daegaya-eup.

The construction of the Industrial Safety Experience Education Center was highlighted as a core project that can contribute to regional cooperation and balanced development, and Assemblyman Jung was asked for active support at the National Assembly level. The county also introduced the upcoming '2025 National Heritage Media Art Goryeong Jisandong Ancient Tombs' event, which will be held from September 19 to October 12. Through this event, the county emphasized a regional promotion strategy that links cultural heritage utilization with tourism revitalization.

Assemblyman Jung Heeyong stated, "I will do my best to ensure that the projects discussed today lead to the development of Goryeong County and an improved quality of life for residents," and promised, "I will spare no necessary support at the National Assembly level as well."

County Governor Lee Namcheol said, "I will push forward county administration with a sense of urgency to achieve results that residents can truly feel," adding, "By working closely with Assemblyman Jung, we will further strengthen the foundation for Goryeong County's growth."

Lee Cheolho, Chairman of the County Council, also commented, "We will work with the executive branch to reflect the voices of residents and strive to establish a policy foundation for sustainable development."

In the first half of this year, Goryeong County secured a special grant of 1 billion won from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety through cooperation with the National Assembly and the government. This funding is being used for projects such as the nighttime landscape development of the Jisandong Ancient Tombs, construction of the Seongsan Community Center, and reinforcement of the Wondang Small Stream. In addition, Wonsong-ri in Deokgok-myeon and Daegok 1-ri in Ugok-myeon have been finally selected as targets for the Living Conditions Improvement Project, and if national funding is confirmed, full-scale implementation will begin next year.
