Romad Cooperative (CEO Jang Nae-hong) announced that a total of 95 applicants vied for a spot in the third round of the program, which will take place from Monday, September 15 to Friday, September 19, 2025. Recruitment was conducted through various channels, including the "Hanmalsalleo" platform (49 applicants), Instagram (23 applicants), and newsletters (10 applicants), demonstrating nationwide interest in the Hyunnam Life program.

Hyunnam Life is part of the "Rural Village Vitality Project" promoted by Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and Yangyang County. The program is designed to allow young people to reside in Hyunnam-myeon and experience the Yangyang lifestyle up close. This third round will be held at Gaetmaeul Beach in Hyunnam-myeon, where participants will stay in designated accommodations and enjoy the "Hyunnam Life Experience Program," which includes activities such as yoga, surfing, art workshops, and beach running. They will also join local tours with regional mentors, learning about daily life in Hyunnam and interacting with local residents.

Now in its third season, Hyunnam Life has established itself as a leading model for local residency programs, receiving positive reviews from the 20 participants in both the first and second rounds, who described it as "an experience of living, not just travel." This season, the program has been further strengthened by including local tours with mentors, providing a more practical residency experience that connects the region with young people.

Hwang Byung-gil, Director of the Yangyang County Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "Hyunnam Life offers more than just travel; it provides an opportunity for people, the region, and nature to connect through the experience of actually living here. We will actively support participants so that they can sense the potential of Yangyang and consider settling down here."

Meanwhile, since 2023, Romad Cooperative has been carrying out various initiatives centered on Hyunnam-myeon, including supporting youth entrepreneurship, promoting tourism, and developing regional brands, in an effort to foster sustainable mutual growth with rural communities.
