[Market Focus] Nanossilican Surges on Clarification: "No Issues with New Anode Materials Business"

As of 9:30 a.m. on September 15, Nanossilican Advanced Materials was trading at 1,956 won on the KOSDAQ market, up by the daily price limit of 29.97% compared to the previous closing price. This surge appears to be due to the company’s announcement on September 12, in which it addressed market concerns about its new business, stating that operations are "progressing smoothly without any issues."

Nanossilican Advanced Materials develops, manufactures, and sells a variety of functional advanced materials and related application products based on its shared production platform for nanomaterials, the "Active Nano-Platform." Following its ventures in anti-counterfeiting security, nucleic acid extraction bio-business, and functional display business, the company has been pursuing silicon anode materials for secondary batteries and data center operations as new growth engines since being acquired by Dream Castle General Construction in January.

The company stated, "Concerns were raised regarding the performance and cost execution, recruitment, and funding capacity related to our new business, but these are unfounded. We have conducted long-term research and development on silicon anode materials and have secured test results that prove differentiated performance. We have also signed non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with major domestic battery companies."

Regarding financial matters, the company added, "We have secured approximately 17 billion won in funds through the issuance of convertible bonds (CB) and a paid-in capital increase. This capital will be invested in new business initiatives, establishing a solid foundation to smoothly proceed from pilot production to commercial production."
