Executive Vice President Lee Cheonghun Visits India and Cambodia in Person
On September 15, NongHyup Bank announced that it had conducted on-site inspections aimed at strengthening internal controls to prevent financial accidents at overseas branches and to foster a sound business environment.
As part of these efforts to enhance internal controls, Lee Cheonghun, Executive Vice President of the Global Business Division at NongHyup Bank, personally visited the Noida Branch in India and the Cambodian subsidiary to meticulously review key internal control items, such as the appropriateness of loan handling and cash management. A "Ten Commandments of Principles and Rules Compliance Pledge Ceremony" was held with local employees, emphasizing the importance of compliance and ethical management. Posters and fans featuring the Ten Commandments translated into English and Khmer were distributed to help spread an awareness of ethics and compliance tailored to local circumstances.
NongHyup Bank also engaged in various public interest activities. The bank visited the Siem Reap Provincial General Hospital in Cambodia, delivering daily necessities and donations.
Executive Vice President Lee stated, "This inspection served as an opportunity to review the internal control systems of our overseas branches and to communicate the importance of principle-based work practices on site.
