Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor: Shin Sangjin) is recruiting 2,896 participants for 120 classes at the Wirye Eoullim Comprehensive Social Welfare Center until September 19.

The recruitment covers two fields: swimming (76 classes, 1,840 participants) and education & culture (44 classes, 1,056 participants).
The swimming programs include: swimming lessons (16 sessions, 60 participants per session), aqua aerobics (4 sessions, 60 participants per session), and free swimming (8 sessions, monthly pass for 60 participants per session, and 20 participants per day for on-site daily passes). These programs will be held from October 1 to December 31, and each individual can apply for only one class.
The education and culture programs are offered to different groups, including infants, children, and adults, and will run from October 1 to December 23.
Classes for infants (ages 5 to 7) include: creative art (1 session, 15 participants) and English fairy tale storytelling (1 session, 15 participants).
Classes for children (ages 8 to 13) include: Chinese character certificate class (2 sessions, 15 participants per session), Go & chess (1 session, 20 participants), basketball class (3 sessions, 15 participants per session), creative art (1 session, 15 participants), K-pop dance (1 session, 20 participants), abacus mental arithmetic (1 session, 20 participants), robot coding class (1 session, 15 participants), growth yoga (2 sessions, 15 participants per session), and tablet drawing class (1 session, 15 participants per session).
Classes for adults include: therapy yoga (4 sessions, 20 participants per session), mat Pilates (4 sessions, 20 participants per session), Go & chess (1 session, 16 participants), watercolor class (1 session, 16 participants), tablet video production (2 sessions, 20 participants per session), aerobics (1 session, 50 participants), Gukseondo (1 session, 30 participants), line dance (1 session, 50 participants), urban sketching (1 session, 16 participants), computer skills (1 session, 20 participants), Zumba dance (1 session, 50 participants), health exercise (1 session, 50 participants), step box (1 session, 50 participants), harmonica (1 session, 10 participants), acoustic guitar (1 session, 10 participants), travel English (1 session, 40 participants), travel Japanese (1 session, 40 participants), calligraphy (1 session, 16 participants), table tennis class (2 sessions, 18 participants per session), acrylic painting (1 session, 16 participants), and singing class (1 session, 100 participants).
Applications for each class can be submitted online through Seongnam City's lifelong learning integrated platform, "Baeumsoop."
Alternatively, applicants can visit the information desk in the lobby on the first floor of the Wirye Eoullim Comprehensive Social Welfare Center from September 17 to 19 to apply in person. For in-person applications, applicants must bring their ID and a mobile phone registered under their name.
On September 22 at 10:00 a.m., the city will select participants by lottery through the "Baeumsoop system" and notify the selected individuals via individual text messages.
