Gyeonggi Province to Hold "Housing Welfare Education" for Young Adults Preparing for Independence on September 16

Gyeonggi Province and the Housing Welfare Center will conduct a housing welfare education session for young adults preparing for independence on September 16 at the "Gyeonggi Province Independence Support Agency" located in Uiwang.

This program was designed to help young adults preparing for independence address their most significant challenge-housing-so they can settle into society with stability.

The education will first introduce the types of rental housing that are most practically beneficial for these young adults. Focusing on three major types-youth purchase rental housing, jeonse rental housing, and "Happy Housing"-the session will provide easy-to-understand video guides on how to apply and the necessary procedures.

Through this, the program aims to help participants better understand the complex procedures and support them in actually completing their applications.

In addition, the session will provide detailed explanations about housing cost support programs that can reduce living expenses after moving into rental housing.

For young adults preparing for independence who move into public rental housing provided by Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH), the session will introduce several support programs: the "Housing Cost Support Program for Young Adults Preparing for Independence," which covers the full standard rental deposit; the "Rental Deposit Support Program for Purchase Rental Housing," which provides loans for 50% of the standard rental deposit to new tenants in purchase rental housing within the province; and the "Jeonse Loan Guarantee and Interest Support Program," which offers loan guarantees and interest support to households with low income or poor credit who have difficulty obtaining loans from financial institutions.

Kim Tae-su, Director of Housing Policy at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Stable housing is the starting point for successful independence for young adults preparing for self-reliance," adding, "We will continue to strengthen customized support so that young people can settle into society with stability."
