Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province has launched the "2025 Open Mayor's Office" starting on the 12th, with the mayor personally meeting citizens to listen to a wide range of opinions and reflect them in city governance.

The first session of the Open Mayor's Office was held on the 12th in the residents' representative meeting room at Okjeong Metrofore in Okjeong 2-dong. The meeting was attended by the head of Okjeong 2-dong and representatives from Okjeong Metrofore, Daeseong Verhill, Okjeong The First, The One Park, Okjeong Leaders Garden, and Hanshin The Hue.

During the meeting, participants discussed citizen suggestions and solutions across various aspects of daily life, including transportation issues such as express bus stops and the promotion of Station 104, road issues such as maintenance of bicycle paths and repair of sidewalks, installation of security lights for women's safe return routes, and the establishment of sports facilities in front of Okbit High School.

The "2025 Open Mayor's Office" will continue to be held at locations such as Daekwang Logebian and Dietre Central City in Hoecheon 2-dong, Saechang Apartment in Okjeong 1-dong, and Hanyang 2nd and Yuseung 9th complexes in Yangju 2-dong, where the mayor will directly listen to citizens' opinions and concerns.

Yangju City Mayor Kang Suhyun stated, "I want to visit any place where there is something citizens wish to tell the mayor, meet as many people as possible face-to-face, and discuss the direction of Yangju City's development. I will do my utmost to fully understand the meaning behind citizens' suggestions and ultimately resolve the issues they raise."

The "2025 Open Mayor's Office" will be operated until December, and citizens who wish to participate can visit their local administrative welfare center or apply by phone.
