This training program has been organized to share Gangwon Province's water management experience, which is based on its pristine natural environment and advanced technology, as well as to address key issues faced by both countries.

A total of 18 participants, including local government officials from northern India and representatives from the All India Institute of Local Self-Government, will take part in the program.

The training will cover a variety of topics, including global trends in water management, case studies from South Korea, policy lessons learned from both successful and challenging water resource management cases in Gangwon, and waste treatment methods for water environment conservation. Participants will also take part in field visits to water purification facilities and related companies in Gangwon Province.

The program will also provide an opportunity to explore customized water management strategies tailored to the unique characteristics of different regions in India, drawing on Gangwon Province's eco-friendly policies and case studies.

Jeon Hee-seon, Director of International Cooperation at Gangwon Province, stated, "Through this international training, the water management capabilities of both Korea and India will grow together, and the cooperative relationship between the two countries will become even stronger. We aim to widely share exemplary cases that combine Gangwon's clean natural environment and technology, and to expand our global network."

Gangwon Province expects that this international training will not only strengthen friendly ties with local governments in India, but also have a positive impact on the export of water management technologies by local companies and the development of related industries within the province.
