A Variety of Performances Including Sotdaejaengipae, Comic Theater Gukgeuk, and Marching Band
Yeosu City, South Jeolla Province (Mayor Jung Kimyung) announced on September 12 that the "Jeollanam-do Jangteo Yulangdan" performance will be held on a special stage near Seomarket (near Chungmu Bridge) at 2 p.m. on September 14.
This performance will feature a variety of acts including Sotdaejaengipae, Dongdonggurumu, Yeot Vendor Play, Comic Theater Gukgeuk, a marching band, and street performances (busking), offering a diverse range of attractions for citizens and tourists visiting the traditional market.
The "Jeollanam-do Jangteo Yulangdan" is an event organized by the Jeollanam-do Merchants Association and supported by South Jeolla Province, aiming to revitalize traditional markets and the local economy.
The Jangteo Yulangdan consists of young artists and various art groups from South Jeolla Province and plans to continue touring traditional markets on market days, evoking nostalgia through marketplace performances.
A city official said, "We hope this performance will showcase the unique culture of South Jeolla Province to citizens and tourists visiting the market, and serve as an opportunity to revitalize traditional markets. We ask for your interest and participation."
