Free AirPods 4 Promotion for Plans Over 100,000 Won Per Month
On September 12, LG Uplus introduced a new program offering up to 70% of the device’s original price back after two years, coinciding with the start of pre-orders for the latest iPhone models.
LG Uplus announced that it will provide the "70% Compensation Pass" to customers purchasing the iPhone 17 or iPhone Air, helping to reduce the burden of upgrading devices.
The 70% Compensation Pass is a service that allows customers to receive up to 70% of the original purchase price as points when they return their iPhone and upgrade to a new iPhone after two years. The monthly fee for the 70% Compensation Pass is 19,250 won (including VAT).
The points received after two years can be used to pay for a new device installment plan or communication fees through the customer center. The 70% Compensation Pass promotion runs until December 31, and customers can return damaged devices, except those that are lost or stolen.
Device discount benefits are also available for use with the iPhone 17 series. Customers who activate an iPhone 17 with LG Uplus can receive a full 24-month installment discount on Apple’s latest wireless earphones, the AirPods 4.
However, this benefit is provided only when customers subscribe to a plan of at least 105,000 won per month and select the Apple Device Pack benefit. The discount may end early if stock runs out, and a 5.9% annual installment fee for AirPods 4 will be charged separately.
There is also a promotion for customers who participate in the iPhone 17 pre-order on the official online store, Uplus.com.
Customers who complete their iPhone pre-order on Uplus.com by 8:00 a.m. on September 19 will receive a mobile phone discount coupon (up to 150,000 won) that can be used when purchasing the iPhone 17.
After pre-ordering, customers who pay with a Hyundai Card can receive up to 18 months of interest-free installments, and can also use up to 50,000 won of their M Points to offset the purchase price of the phone.
Additionally, customers who trade in their old phones and purchase an iPhone 17 will receive a 150,000 won Shinsegae gift certificate on top of the standard trade-in value, and the first 3,000 customers to subscribe to a plan of at least 85,000 won per month will receive an additional 50,000 won Shinsegae gift certificate.
Meanwhile, customers who activate an iPhone 17 series device can also freely use the AI call app "IXIO." IXIO offers call recording and summarization without a recording notification message, and uses on-device AI to detect voice phishing risks in real time during calls.
It also features an "Anti Deep Voice" function that identifies forged AI voices, helping customers make calls more safely.
