The program is open to private and home daycare centers within the city. Government-supported daycare centers, as well as private, home, and public daycare centers that received city funding last year, are excluded from eligibility.
The main areas of support include: improvement of facilities containing asbestos, installation of emergency disaster preparedness facilities, renovation of outdated facilities, and the purchase of safety and food hygiene supplies. Up to 1.4 million won, or 50% of the project cost per center, will be provided. Simple interior renovations are not eligible for support.
The city plans to select at least 15 daycare centers through a review process and provide subsidies accordingly. Daycare centers wishing to apply should submit the required documents via the Childcare Integrated Information System's work communication channel. After disbursing the subsidies, the city will conduct thorough settlement reports and on-site inspections to prevent inappropriate use of funds.
