Toss Bank announced on the 12th that on the morning of the 11th, four representatives-including Marius Skodis, a member of the Board of the Lithuanian Central Bank, as well as officials from Invest Lithuania and the Embassy of Lithuania in Korea-visited the Toss Bank headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. This marks the third consecutive year since their first meeting in November 2023 that the Lithuanian Central Bank, Invest Lithuania, and other members of the economic delegation have visited Toss Bank.

The Lithuanian economic delegation highly praised Toss Bank for its innovation as an internet-only bank, its achievement in promoting inclusive finance for underserved groups, and its success in turning a profit just three years after its establishment. The delegation also mentioned the potential for European expansion using Lithuania as a base and expressed their strong commitment to actively provide regulatory and institutional support, as well as favorable conditions for attracting investment.

Marius Skodis, a member of the Board of the Lithuanian Central Bank, emphasized, "There are 500 million customers in Europe, and a variety of market participants are creating innovation. Lithuania is one of the leading countries in Europe in the fields of digital finance and fintech. We hope Toss Bank will join us as an innovative partner, and we will spare no effort to support its growth."

Lithuania is one of the fastest-growing digital finance and fintech hubs in Europe. Although its population is only about 2.8 million, it maintains a stable macroeconomy, access to the EU single market, regulatory innovation, and a digital-friendly policy environment. This is why global fintech companies such as the UK’s digital bank Revolut choose Lithuania as a gateway to the EU market.

Recently, Lithuania has further increased its investment appeal by accelerating the growth of its financial and digital industries through inflation stabilization and fostering the IT sector. Toss Bank plans to use this meeting as an opportunity to explore potential cooperation with Lithuania and the broader European market, and to accelerate its global expansion strategy going forward.

Eunmi Lee, CEO of Toss Bank, stated, "The Lithuanian economic delegation’s three consecutive annual visits demonstrate that Toss Bank’s innovative model is gaining international recognition. We will work to further strengthen financial innovation cooperation not only between our institutions but also between our two countries, and strive to achieve sustainable growth on the global stage."
