Evejarie was recognized for its continued leadership in fulfilling social responsibility and responding to climate change through multifaceted carbon neutrality initiatives. The company has steadily carried out activities to achieve carbon neutrality, focusing on two main pillars: securing voluntary carbon credits through tree planting and promoting resource circulation.
Evejarie established the forest management company Ebrand under its umbrella and has carried out tree-planting activities for over 30 years. In 2023 and 2024, it held tree-planting events in the Jungnangcheon area and at the Dongdaemun Community Center in Dongdaemun-gu. This year, the company participated in the Seoul International Garden Expo and created a corporate companion garden, planting a total of 1,000 trees, including tall trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.
In addition, Evejarie created forests with an annual expected carbon dioxide reduction effect of approximately 170 tons, covering 70,000 pyeong in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, and 21,901 pyeong in Hangang Park, Seoul. Based on the forests established so far, the company has been certified for a total of 1,616 tons of voluntary carbon credits by the Korea Forest Service, and has donated these credits as part of its multifaceted carbon neutrality campaigns.
Last year, Evejarie operated a resource circulation program that collected and recycled used bedding, which had previously been incinerated or discarded, including the nation's first pilot project for a circular economy for used bedding.
Younghee Lee, Vice President of Evejarie, said, "We will continue to be a company that plays a practical role in overcoming the climate crisis through sincere climate management."
