A man who caused a disturbance, including brandishing a weapon while complaining about a bus arrival time, has been arrested by police.
Hadong Police Station in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 11th that they had apprehended a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of making special threats and are currently investigating him.
According to police, at around 8:45 a.m. the previous day, Mr. A is accused of pulling out and brandishing a weapon at ticket inspector Mr. B in the waiting area of the Jingyo Intercity Bus Terminal in Jingyo-myeon, Hadong-gun.
He reportedly took out the weapon, which he had been carrying in his bag for sleeping outdoors, and threatened the staff while complaining that the bus to Jinju had not arrived on time.
No one was injured in the incident, and police determined that Mr. A was not under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Police responded to a report from terminal staff who had quickly evacuated the scene, arrested Mr. A on site, and confiscated the weapon.
Mr. A admitted to the crime during police questioning, and on the 11th, police applied for an arrest warrant for him.
