Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced that it will operate the "2025 Second Half Dialogue with Residents and Visiting On-Site Civil Service Office," which directly communicates with county residents, from September 11 to September 17.
This on-site civil service office will tour five administrative welfare centers in the county’s towns and townships, aiming to listen to residents’ voices directly and reflect them in county administration. In a free and open atmosphere, the governor and residents will engage in a Q&A format discussion on local issues.
At the first event held on September 11 at the Gijang-eup Administrative Welfare Center, resident representatives participated and engaged in sincere discussions on a variety of topics, including revitalizing tourism using traditional cultural facilities, constructing a community sports park, developing the Jukdo tourism area, and resolving various daily inconveniences. Governor Jung responded faithfully to residents’ suggestions and promised to work on solutions.
The county plans to use this on-site civil service office to strengthen communication with residents and continuously seek practical solutions that can be felt in the field.
Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang County, stated, "Each and every resident’s voice is the driving force that shapes the future of Gijang," and added, "We will continue to communicate with residents and implement policies that everyone can truly experience." He further urged, "Relevant departments should actively review residents’ suggestions and do their utmost to resolve them quickly."
The on-site civil service office will be held sequentially at Jeonggwan-eup on September 12, Cheolma-myeon on September 15, Ilgwang-eup on September 16, and Jangan-eup on September 17.
Gijang County is holding a commemorative photo session after opening the "Visiting On-Site Civil Service Office."
