On September 11, President Lee Jaemyung stated, "Although various economic indicators are improving, such as the KOSPI reaching an all-time high, the lives of our people remain difficult." He emphasized, "We must establish bold measures to reduce living expenses in the seven key areas that directly impact people's daily lives: housing, transportation, child-rearing, education, culture, telecommunications, and energy."

President Lee made these remarks while presiding over a meeting with senior aides at the presidential office in Yongsan, immediately after holding a press conference marking his 100th day in office at the Blue House State Guest House. He added, "Although related projects are included in next year's budget, we should not be satisfied with this. We must check if there are areas that need improvement or if there are parts that can be implemented." President Lee further stated, "As I always say, the answer to improving people's livelihoods is not found on the desk, but in the field." He continued, "Please maintain a proactive attitude to genuinely bring positive changes to the lives of our people."

He also called for measures in response to the recent elementary school student abduction case. President Lee said, "As the public is concerned about the elementary school student abduction incident, please establish swift investigative measures to dispel those concerns." In particular, he stressed, "When it comes to public safety, it is a hundred times better to overreact than to do nothing. We must restore trust through immediate action and practical implementation."

President Lee also addressed the rapidly expanding case of unauthorized micro-payments at KT. He said, "New cases continue to be discovered, and there have been allegations of concealment and downplaying of the incidents. Responsibility must be clearly established." He added, "It is a serious problem if, after losing the cow, we do not even fix the barn. Companies need to reconsider whether they view security investment as an unnecessary expense."
