On September 11, Connectwave announced that its overseas subsidiary, Malltail, will launch the DaHaeJum (proxy purchasing) service and open a logistics center in Taiwan to expand its cross-border e-commerce and fulfillment business.
With the new logistics center, Malltail aims to proactively secure the logistics for Taiwanese cross-border e-commerce products, which have seen growing demand recently, and further expand its reach to provide global fulfillment services for both domestic and international sellers.
In particular, considering that it is often difficult for customers in Taiwan to register for local shopping malls and complete payments smoothly, Malltail has launched the DaHaeJum service, which offers a one-stop solution from purchase to delivery, thereby significantly enhancing its competitiveness.
Malltail’s Taiwan logistics center was opened in partnership with a local logistics company to maximize operational efficiency. The center is located in an officetel-type building in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, and is accessible by car within approximately 40 minutes from Taoyuan Airport.
The center is just a five-minute drive from the highway interchange, is equipped with a cargo unloading dock, and is situated near logistics centers of major companies such as Yamato Transport, enabling fast delivery.
Unlike most competitors, who typically ship only once a week and on irregular schedules, Malltail offers a differentiated service by providing fixed shipments twice a week, aiming to improve customer satisfaction.
In addition, regular patrols, video surveillance, and an operational security access control system operate 24 hours a day to ensure the safe management of customer goods. Malltail also offers a range of benefits, including an unconditional $500 compensation policy and product model verification, all of which are available at the Taiwan center.
Malltail expects that, with the rise in travel to Taiwan, demand for overseas direct purchases of local foods, alcoholic beverages, and merchandise enjoyed during trips will also increase, and that products related to these categories will become more popular through the Taiwan logistics center.
A Malltail representative said, "With the opening of the Taiwan logistics center, we now operate 13 logistics centers across 9 countries. Based on this network, we will continue to provide convenient cross-border shopping environments in various countries, while also supporting global fulfillment businesses for domestic and international sellers using our logistics centers as strategic bases."
Meanwhile, prior to the opening of the Taiwan logistics center, Malltail had already led the market by handling over 2 million cross-border e-commerce transactions annually, operating 12 logistics centers in 8 countries including the United States, China, Japan, and Germany.
