Gangjin County in South Jeolla Province will hold the "Gangjin Pum-Ae On County Residents × Chorok Mideum Event" in celebration of Chuseok.
The county announced on the 10th that the promotional booth for "Gangjin Pum-Ae On County Residents," which operated at the 3rd Gangjin Hamaek Festival last month, concluded with an enthusiastic response. County residents and tourists who visited the festival easily registered as members using a QR code and immediately received 5,000 mileage points, which they converted into Gangjin Love Gift Certificates.
At the event, not only new members but also existing members could participate in a prize draw, with gift certificates and souvenirs awarded. During the festival, more than 300 new members joined, and as of September, the platform’s cumulative membership has surpassed 11,000.
To maintain this momentum, the county will hold a Chuseok holiday event from September 15 to 28. New members will receive 10,000 mileage points. Members who purchase Chuseok gift sets from the Chorok Mideum online mall and leave a review will be eligible for prizes totaling 10 million mileage points. Four first-place winners will receive 1 million mileage points each, eight second-place winners will receive 500,000 mileage points each, and twenty third-place winners will receive 100,000 mileage points each. Winners will be selected based on the quality of their reviews and a random draw.
County Governor Kang Jinwon stated, "The interest shown by county residents and tourists at the Hamaek Festival demonstrated the potential of the 'Gangjin Pum-Ae On County Residents' program," adding, "I hope many people will participate in the Chuseok event and continue to build special connections with Gangjin."
