At the briefing session held on September 9, participants were informed about facility improvements and educated on traffic safety rules, including the "Five Principles for Elderly Pedestrian Road Crossing."
In addition, for village residents who own vehicles, the campaign promoted the eradication of the "Five Major Traffic Violations" (cutting in line during U-turns, violating bus-only lanes, blocking intersections, sudden lane changes, and illegal use of emergency lanes by non-emergency ambulances).
Earlier, in April, traffic safety facilities such as reflective road signs to enhance nighttime pedestrian visibility were installed on the road in Changpyeong 1-ri, Jicheon-myeon.
An official from the Chilgok Police Station stated, "We will continue to make multifaceted efforts to prevent traffic accidents in Chilgok County, including public awareness campaigns, enforcement, and facility improvements."
