On September 9, Gumi City held the "2025 Gumi City Investment Environment Briefing" at the Air Force Hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by over 150 people, including Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi, National Assembly members Koo Jagun and Kang Myeonggu, and members of the Gumi City Hometown Association in Seoul. They discussed the development vision for Gumi and introduced municipal policy directions and the investment environment to financially established returnees and out-of-town entrepreneurs.

The event highlighted Gumi’s strengths as a city that is becoming increasingly business-friendly, introduced various corporate support policies, and provided an opportunity to strengthen exchanges with out-of-town residents. In particular, the Gumi City Hometown Association in Seoul (led by Chairman Park Haesik) and out-of-town entrepreneurs collectively donated a total of 180 million won through rice purchases, scholarship funds, and contributions to the Hometown Love Donation Program, expressing their affection for their hometown.

Park Haesik, who was newly inaugurated as chairman that day, stated, "Although we live in the Seoul metropolitan area, our hearts are always with our hometown, Gumi. Going forward, we will continue to unite the strength of out-of-town residents to further brighten Gumi’s future."

Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I deeply appreciate the support of out-of-town residents who share Gumi’s DNA. Through bold investment and innovation, we will grow together with businesses and build a proud city that leaps beyond Gumi to the world."
