Mayor Lee: "Expecting to Revitalize the Local Nighttime Economy"
On September 9, Osan City in Gyeonggi Province held the "Osan Osaek Market Safety and Landscape Lighting Ceremony" at Moms Street in Osaek Market, with Mayor Lee Kwonjae, City Council Chairman Lee Sangbok, local residents, and others in attendance.

The city explained that the landscape lighting installed on Moms Street not only improves the nighttime walking environment for visitors but also provides a unique visual identity exclusive to Osaek Market. In particular, the city added that the project included replacing outdated lighting in major market pathways such as Red Street, Smile Street, and Areum Street with LED lights, allowing visitors to enjoy a more comfortable and safer traditional market experience.
Mayor Lee stated, "I hope this lighting improvement will serve as an opportunity for Osaek Market to become the best traditional market in the country," adding, "We will continue to provide unwavering support to revitalize traditional markets and local commercial districts in the future."
