Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that on the 9th, the DS Division of Samsung Electronics, together with the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest, donated five eco-friendly vehicles to five social welfare facilities in the city.

The donated vehicles will be delivered to Haedeunsol, CLC Hope School Yongin Regional Children's Center, Yangjibareun Sheltered Workshop, Masil Disability Support Center, and Yongin Regional Self-Sufficiency Center.
The vehicles were provided through donations from employees of the Samsung Electronics DS Division, combined with matching contributions from the company. The Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest selected the recipients through a public application process.
The handover ceremony was held at City Hall, attended by Lee Sangil, Mayor of Yongin, Ha Heonjae, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics DS Division, Kim Hyojin, Secretary General of the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest, and representatives from local welfare organizations.
Previously, in October 2022, Samsung Electronics signed an agreement with Yongin City to support local welfare facilities with eco-friendly vehicles worth a total of 1.4 billion won over five years.
