The Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA) announced that it has achieved the remarkable feat of being selected as a “Top Training Institution” for the National Human Resources Development Consortium (hereafter referred to as the Consortium) for four consecutive years, as well as being recognized among the top 10% of outstanding institutions in the “Best of Joint Training Centers.”
Accordingly, on September 4, RAPA received an award plaque at the “2025 Best of CHAMP DAY+” event, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (Minister Kim Younghoon) and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (President Lee Wooyoung), held at the Seoul Dragon City Hotel.
The “Top Training Institution” designation is awarded to organizations that receive the highest S grade in performance evaluations for effectiveness, efficiency, and appropriateness of training operations, based on objective data regarding the business execution capabilities and achievements of Consortium joint training centers.
This award is especially significant as RAPA has been selected as a Top Training Institution for four consecutive years since 2021, and, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Consortium project, has been specially recognized as one of the top 10% of outstanding institutions among more than 300 joint training centers nationwide in the “Best of Joint Training Centers.”
Additionally, to promote the spread of exemplary business operation results, the Consortium has selected institutions within the top 20% for two consecutive years as “Autonomous Joint Training Centers,” and the Korea Radio Promotion Association has achieved the distinction of being selected as an Autonomous Joint Training Center for two consecutive years.
The Consortium’s vocational training is a flagship project of the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s demand-tailored vocational competency development program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Since 2012, RAPA has participated in this initiative, operating more than 60 courses annually in diverse fields such as cloud, big data, and radio communications, with the aim of strengthening the job competencies of SME employees and supporting youth employment, thereby nurturing over 1,000 skilled professionals each year.
Kim Youngtae, Director of the Radio Broadcasting and Communications Education Center at RAPA, stated, “It is very rewarding that our association, which strives for the advancement of businesses and industries, can contribute to the employment and growth of excellent mid-sized and small enterprises through the Consortium project. Being selected as a Top Training Institution and as one of the ‘Best of Joint Training Centers’ for four consecutive years is external recognition of our continuous efforts over the past decade to strengthen our outstanding infrastructure and specialized education capabilities through the National Human Resources Development Consortium project.”
He added, “Going forward, we will continue to cultivate outstanding talent that meets the demands of industrial sites in response to the rapid changes of the AI era, and further contribute to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.”
Consortium training by RAPA is provided free of charge to employees of partner SMEs, and job training for youth (with a 90% employment rate) is also offered completely free. Upcoming courses include: ▲ AWS Public Cloud Security Management and Operations ▲ Building CI/CD Pipelines Using Jenkins and ArgoCD ▲ Building a Private Cloud Management Platform Using OpenStack. Applications for training can be submitted through the National Human Resources Development Consortium website of the Korea Radio Promotion Association.
