Filling the After-School Care Gap for Dual-Income Families Expected
Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province opened its first "Together Care Center" within a public office building at the Cheolsan 2-dong Life Culture Complex Center on September 10.
The "Together Care Center" is a facility that utilizes unused spaces in apartment community facilities and administrative welfare centers to provide care services for children of dual-income families and other elementary school students.

The "Cheolsan Happy Nuri Together Care Center" located in the Cheolsan 2-dong Life Culture Complex Center offers a variety of care programs for 35 elementary school students aged 6 to 12, including regular and temporary care, meals and snacks, and basic learning, reading, music, and physical education.
Operating hours are from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays during the school term, and from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during school vacations. The service is free of charge, but a portion of the meal and snack costs must be covered by users.
Those wishing to use the center can apply by visiting the facility in person. For details such as required documents, please refer to the notices on the Gwangmyeong City Hall website. Including the Cheolsan Happy Nuri Center, Gwangmyeong City currently operates a total of 10 Together Care Centers.
