The 21st Gangwon Medical Device Exhibition, 'GMES 2025', will be held for two days from September 18 to 19 at the Permanent Exhibition Hall of the Medical Device Integrated Support Center in Wonju Enterprise City.
This exhibition, the largest industrial exhibition in Gangwon Province, is jointly hosted by Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and Wonju City, and co-organized by the Wonju Medical Device Industry Promotion Foundation (President Han Jonghyun) and the Gangwon Regional Headquarters of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Head Kim Wontae).
This year's event will be joined by the National Health Insurance Service (President Chung Kisuk), featuring a record total exhibition space of 5,093 square meters, with 139 companies and 159 booths. Beyond simple product promotion, a variety of programs will be offered to generate tangible business results.
Main programs include: ▲Export consultation sessions with invited overseas buyers ▲Networking events with domestic buyers ▲Medical Device Regulatory Affairs (RA) Forum ▲Academic conferences and digital healthcare seminars in the medical field ▲Korea-Japan technology exchange meetings. In addition, special programs such as a job fair to address local talent recruitment and workforce shortages, as well as training for job seekers, will also be held.
In particular, the Medical Device Regulatory Affairs (RA) Forum will run for two days, aiming to strengthen the export competitiveness of medical device companies and support rapid market entry. Through this forum, industry participants will be provided with up-to-date information on changes in overseas regulatory systems, strategies for responding to regulations, and insights for entering the global market.
Various programs and special discount events have been prepared for not only medical device industry professionals but also general visitors. Moving away from previous export-focused exhibitions, this year's event plans to revitalize the local economy by achieving both export promotion and domestic market expansion.
Special features include a Smart Home Healthcare Pavilion, a domestic buyer invitation program linked to major tourist attractions in Wonju, a stamp tour, and discount events by companies located in the enterprise city.
Additionally, a variety of experiences for the general public have been prepared, such as the Insaengnecut photo booth, medical virtual reality (VR) experiences, and calligraphy fan-making activities.
This exhibition is open to everyone free of charge. Visitors can pre-register on the Gangwon Medical Device Exhibition website until 3:00 p.m. on September 16, and on-site registration will also be available during the exhibition period.
