Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju announced on September 9 that it will operate the 3rd Gwangsan Music ON Festival as an eco-friendly event. The festival will be held at Hwangryong Riverside Park from September 20 to 21.
The district will use reusable containers in the festival’s food areas. Return bins will be placed at major entrances to establish a recycling system.
Eco-friendly experience programs will also be offered, such as making new paper from waste paper, creating hair ties from old jeans, and crafting sea glass keyrings. There will also be a resource circulation store where visitors who bring 10 milk cartons or used batteries can exchange them for eco-friendly scrubbers. Through a resource circulation promotion area, the district will encourage eco-friendly practices in daily life and work to foster a sustainable culture.
The Music ON Festival will be held under the theme "The Moment Autumn Turns ON." Ten domestic musicians, including Hwang Garam and 10CM, will perform on stage. Citizen participation programs such as the Cosmos Lounge, Starlight Cinema, and Music Arcade will also take place.
