Cultural and Tourism Incentives Offered to Member Companies of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry has joined hands with Miryang City, extending beyond Busan, to boost the local economy and promote tourism.
The Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Yang Jaesaeng) and Miryang City (Mayor Ahn Byunggu) announced that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at 11 a.m. on September 9, 2025, in the conference room on the 8th floor of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The agreement aims to enhance exchanges between the two regions and revitalize the local economy and tourism.
About 20 officials attended the signing ceremony, including Yang Jaesaeng, chairman of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vice Chairman Shin Hanchun, Ahn Byunggu, mayor of Miryang, and Joo Bowon, chairman of the Miryang Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Under this agreement, Miryang City will provide usage incentives for its cultural and tourism facilities to executives and employees of member companies of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry will cooperate with Miryang City's digital tourism resident ID issuance and promotion project. The goal is to promote human and economic exchanges between the two regions.
In his remarks at the signing ceremony, Yang Jaesaeng, chairman of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "Today's event was made possible by the strong bond that Busan and Miryang have built over many years," adding, "I hope this will serve as a valuable starting point for Busan companies and Miryang City to work together even more and lay the foundation for mutual growth."
Ahn Byunggu, mayor of Miryang, stated, "This is a meaningful starting point for Miryang and Busan to grow together through cultural and tourism exchanges," and added, "I hope this cooperation will provide opportunities for healing and leisure to the executives and employees of member companies of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while bringing a steady inflow of residents and new vitality to the local economy of Miryang City."
